The Outside Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting a range of material handling solutions. This role demands a results-driven individual who excels at building customer relationships, assessing client needs, and offering tailored solutions to maximize operational efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and generate new leads within assigned territories.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Promote and sell material handling products and solutions, including forklifts, aerial lifts and more.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and visits to assess evolving customer needs.
- Provide technical and consultative support to customers, ensuring the proposed solutions meet their operational needs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate proposals, quotes, and contracts for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and forecasts in CRM software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in material handling, industrial equipment, or related industries.
- Experience with solution-based selling and complex sales cycles.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to learn complex product details.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the sales territory.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
